LAMB OF GOD, PARADISE LOST, AIRBOURNE Interviewed At SONISPHERE; Audio Available

Members of LAMB OF GOD, PARADISE LOST and AIRBOURNE were interviewed by Peter Bailey of the Wrexham, Wales-based "Metalheadz" show at this year's Sonisphere festival, which was held on August 1-2, 2009 at the legendary Knebworth Park, United Kingdom. As previously reported, LAMB OF GOD guitarist Mark Morton did not perform with the band at the last six shows of the group's European tour as his wife was expecting a baby. UNEARTH six-stringer Buz McGrath filled in for Morton on these dates, which included an appearance at Sonisphere.

LAMB OF GOD's new album, "Wrath", has sold more than 165,000 copies in the United States since its February 24 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Wrath" was produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia, and New Hampshire.

The "Wrath" album was released in four configurations: an LP, a CD, a deluxe-edition CD with bonus disc — which contains isolated recording parts — as well as a super-deluxe version featuring a limited-edition box containing an LP, deluxe-edition CD and USB drive containing two exclusive bonus tracks.

PARADISE LOST will release its new album, "Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us", on September 28 in Europe and October 6 in the U.S. via Century Media Records. The highly anticipated follow-up to 2007's "In Requiem" was recorded at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden with producer Jens Bogren.

The album's artwork, which is based upon a "Danse Macabre" woodcut by Hans Holbein the Younger (first published in 1538),was created by Stefan Wibbeke at Medialogistics (LACUNA COIL, POISONBLACK).

AIRBOURNE is currently recording its second album in Chicago, Illinois for a tentative late 2009/early 2010 release. Regarding the CD's musical direction, drummer Ryan O'Keeffe told ThrashHits.com, "I guess the best way to say would be, the first [album] was sort of left and right, and the second one's gonna take you further left and further right."

AIRBOURNE's video for the song "Runnin' Wild" — featuring a special cameo by MOTÖRHEAD mainman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister — was shot with director Nathan Cox, who has previously worked with QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MARILYN MANSON and LINKIN PARK, among others. The track is the title cut of the group's debut album, which landed at No. 106 on The Billboard 200 chart in the U.S. after shifting 7,000 units in its first week of release.
